The Culinary Art Hotel
FROM TRADITION TO TODAY
It's Teatime my darling !
The beginning of a tradition
According to legend, afternoon tea was invented by the Duchess of Bedford, a lady-in-waiting to Queen Victoria. To bridge the break between lunch and dinner, the Duchess had tea and biscuits served. Invitations to friends followed, and together they enjoyed various sandwiches and small sweets. You can enjoy this tradition from the 19th century with us at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois.
Monday - Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In the in-house Max'es restaurant, we offer our afternoon tea based on the classic English teatime.
You can choose from 30 different, high-quality loose teas from "Althaus". On request, we can also serve coffee specialties or hot chocolate instead of tea.
You get the different types of tea in small test tubes with a tea clock, different types of sugar.
You can round off this cozy afternoon with a glass of sparkling wine.
